Reschedule/Cancellation Policy

We do not offer refunds after you register for a course. However, you can reschedule your Traditional Course by paying the $10 reschedule fee each time you need to reschedule.  If you sign up for a Blended-Course (online & in-person skills test), you will have 30 days to complete the course and schedule a skills test for your certification.  After 30 days, you will have to pay again.

Certification- Pass or fail? How long does it last? How do I get my card?

Our classes are designed to empower you and teach you the correct methods.  Depending on where you work a written test may be required. For example, before completing an online CPR course, there will be an online skills assessment portion that allows you to review what you've learned and self-test your skill proficiency.  However, only in-person and blended learning courses allow you to demonstrate your skills to a certified instructor, which is often a requirement for workplace safety certification. Please check with your workplace to see what type of course will qualify for your certification.

Your certification card is good for 2 years.

We will automatically send you a reminder when it's time to renew!  Once you have passed the class, you will receive a digital card via email or you can request a hard copy for an additional fee of $7.

Do you need to take the Byrna class first to purchase the launcher and accessories?

No, you do not.  Contact us for a sale sheet of the launchers and accessories we sell.  It is recommended you sign up for the class if you have never fired a weapon or if you want to try the Byrna before you purchase.  The class will go over how the Bryna works, safety rules, the do's and the don'ts, and much more.  Then we will do several testing rounds and scenarios.  You will get a chance to try the EP, SD, LE, and the TCR mini rifle.  The price of the class includes 100 eco practice rounds.  You can purchase additional rounds for an extra fee.

How do I sign up for a class and pay?

Please fill out a contact form of what class you are interested in and we will reach out and send you a link to sign up and pay OR you can go to the store and sign up there.  Blended classes will require you to pay in advance and a link to the class will be sent to you once the class has been paid for within 24 hours. Once you are done with your online portion, you will request to schedule an in-person skills test to receive your certification.

I signed up for the wrong class?

That’s OK! Contact us and we can make the corrections and payment adjustments to ensure you take the class you need.

How do I get a replacement card?

Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive a digital certification card. Replacement certification cards are free and can be requested at any time by phone or email if you cannot find it.  If you need a hard copy, an additional fee of $7.00 will be added to your total.

What is the difference between BLS and CPR?

BLS is Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. It’s healthcare-level CPR specifically for doctors, nurses, EMTs, dentists, dental hygienists, or any other profession in the healthcare field. At this time we do not offer BLS, but its coming soon!

General-level CPR is training for non-healthcare providers such as teachers, construction workers, and the general public. This CPR training is an introductory level class that teaches the basic skills of CPR to empower and increase the confidence of basic rescuers to perform CPR in everyday emergencies.

What should I wear?

Class involves hands-on practice so it is best if you wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in. You will be on the floor and bending a lot during practice. If you have long hair, it’s best to wear it back.

What is the minimum age for CPR, First Aid, or AED certification?

There is no minimum age for CPR training. If a student can understand the information and pass the skills testing, then a certification card can be issued.

How long do the AVERT, First Aid & CPR/AED certifications last?

Upon successful completion of the course, including the in-person skills session, you will receive a 2-year certification.

How do I get my card?

Upon successful completion of the course,  you will receive a 2-year digital certification.  This will allow you the ability to print, share, and download them wherever and whenever you like.  A hard copy can be sent upon request for an additional fee of $7.00.  In addition, we will automatically send you a reminder when it's time to renew!

Can you perform CPR if your certification is expired?

Yes. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), if cardiac arrest happens to someone near you, it's better to act than to do nothing, even if you've never had formal training. Call 911, begin CPR and continue it until medical professionals arrive. Even if your technique isn't perfect, it will give the victim a far better chance of survival. Of course, the best way to save lives is by staying current on your CPR certification. While CPR certifications last two years, your skills can begin to decline within months of training, according to the Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council.
